The following procedure covers
complaints which are about the services of which the Clare County Enterprise
Board provides directly to the public (not complaints about related
organisations issues and decisions). These services generally involve providing
relevant information and answering queries but also include a number of
specialist services such as provision of various forms of grant aid and the
hosting of training and support services. If you have a complaint about a
particular Government policy you should contact the Minister of that area of
policy or your local TD.
How to make a complaint
You can make a complaint
by writing, by fax, email, telephone or in person (by appointment
please). If you are writing, faxing or emailing your complaint, please
provide your telephone number if a response by telephone would be
convenient. If you are emailing, please state if a reply by email is
required and if not please provide full postal address.
If you know a section of
the County Enterprise Board which is relevant to your complaint or the
name or title of an appropriate member of staff, please make your
complaint direct to them (referring to this complaints procedure would

What happens next?
We will reply within 15
working days of when we receive your complaint. If it is not possible to
give you a full reply within this time, for instance when an
investigation is required, we will give you an interim response telling
you what is being done to deal with your complaint and when you can
expect a full reply.
The full reply will
include details of who to contact next if you believe that your
complaint has not been dealt with properly. This will normally be the
most senior County Enterprise Board official (the C.E.O.). If following
that second response you are still not satisfied you can ask for your
complaint to be referred to the Chairman of Clare County Enterprise
Board, Mr. Seamus O'Sullivan.
Complaints about related
Clare County Enterprise Board
is a limited company. It is nevertheless answerable to and funded by the
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment. Should
you be of the opinion that your complaint is about related organisation,
