Complaints Procedure

The following procedure covers complaints which are about the services of which the Clare County Enterprise Board provides directly to the public (not complaints about related organisations issues and decisions). These services generally involve providing relevant information and answering queries but also include a number of specialist services such as provision of various forms of grant aid and the hosting of training and support services. If you have a complaint about a particular Government policy you should contact the Minister of that area of policy or your local TD.

How to make a complaint

  1. You can make a complaint by writing, by fax, email, telephone or in person (by appointment please). If you are writing, faxing or emailing your complaint, please provide your telephone number if a response by telephone would be convenient. If you are emailing, please state if a reply by email is required and if not please provide full postal address.

  2. If you know a section of the County Enterprise Board which is relevant to your complaint or the name or title of an appropriate member of staff, please make your complaint direct to them (referring to this complaints procedure would be helpful).

  3. If you do not have this information readily at hand, please get in touch with the Clare County Enterprise Board which will give you the contact details for the most appropriate person. The Board can be reached at:

Clare County Enterprise Board,
Enterprise House,
Mill Road ,
Ennis,
Co. Clare.

Telephone                   065-6841922
Fax                            065-6841887

What happens next?

  • We will reply within 15 working days of when we receive your complaint. If it is not possible to give you a full reply within this time, for instance when an investigation is required, we will give you an interim response telling you what is being done to deal with your complaint and when you can expect a full reply.

  • The full reply will include details of who to contact next if you believe that your complaint has not been dealt with properly. This will normally be the most senior County Enterprise Board official (the C.E.O.). If following that second response you are still not satisfied you can ask for your complaint to be referred to the Chairman of Clare County Enterprise Board, Mr. Seamus O'Sullivan.
